Yoga
Yoga in a unique experience for each of us that travel through the Asana’s and create harmony between the body, mind & spirit.
As Yoga hosts a range of benefits such as clarity of thought, ease of sleeping, stress reduction and often noticing an increase in vitality and energy.
Restorative Yoga
Restorative yoga takes a supported approach to restoring balance to body and mind. Unlike most forms of modern yoga which are dynamic practices, moving from pose to pose, building heat and increasing strength; restorative yoga is about slowing down, opening the body and giving yourself permission to rest.
During the long, supported holds of a restorative practice, your muscles can relax deeply. Props such as blocks, bolsters and blankets are used to support your body, so you can hold poses for longer and feel completely at ease. Restorative classes are designed to soothe body and mind, making them a wonderful complement to more active practices and a fantastic way to reduce stress.
Yin Yang Yoga
The best of both worlds, yin yang yoga combines the meditative, deep tissue opening of yin yoga with dynamic and envigorating vinyasa. Beginning with yin we focus the mind and tune into the body to create space in the joints and ligaments, becoming attuned to our edges and alligning ourselves to our breath. We then glide into a moving dynamic practice, where we strengthen and stretch the body. The result is an open, enlivened body with a calm and peaceful mind; a delicious mix of meditation, exercise and relaxation.
Yoga Nidra
Is it possible to make changes in your life while lying absolutely still? With Yoga Nidra the answer is yes. A practice that dates back centuries, yoga nidra is focused on working with the unconscious or sub conscious mind. A deep form of meditation that implements the effects of deep sleep, Yoga Nidra can be used to create deep and lasting change within the subconscious mind with a regular practice. Almost the opposite of a normal yoga class, we start with a short opening yoga sequence to dive into a long shavasana, where we are guided through the body to become aware of sensation, thoughts and impressions. Nidra means sleep in sanskrit, and Yoga Nidra is a conscious sleep, where we are able to access and become aware of the unconscious mind.
