For the unfamiliar, F45 merges 3 separate leading-edge fitness training styles into one, consummate and compelling group training experience. F45 Training combines elements of High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), Circuit Training, and Functional Training. The fusion of these three training concepts has lead to the development of 27 different, 45 minute workout experiences, with more in development by the team at the F45 Athletics Department.

 

So what exactly  should you expect from a F45 Athletica Class? The Set up and timing system for an Athletica Workout is a little different to other F45 Workouts. Firstly, there are always 3 pods set up when you enter the class. Each Pod consists of 3 different stations (exercises), so throughout the 45min session you will make it through 9 different exercises in total! Exercises range from Battle Ropes, Squat Sumps and Short Sprints through to Box Jumps, Kettle Bell Swings and Mountain Climbers! In terms of the number of sets and timing (Work to rest ratios) there are 5 variations but the most common will see you move through each of the stations at each pod using a 20 sec work; 10 sec rest interval! Using this work to rest ratio you will complete 4 sets on each exercise and cycle through each Pod twice before moving on to the next Pod of 3 stations (exercises).

The Class  is a cardio based, 45min workout that will see you take a fitness journey with 26 other teammates though 9 stations with varying work to rest intervals! Over the countless hours of research I have done on provider offerings both here in Australia and Overseas in places like Asia, the US and UK to name just a few, I came to the realisation that there are so many amazing health, fitness and wellbeing offerings available to people in cities all around the world, especially right here in Brisbane.

 

I thought to myself there has to be people out there who would love to get some insight into the best workouts and restorative offerings that are available to them right here in Brisbane and from there “Brisbane’s Best Workouts” Blog 2018 was born. Just as our TFL TV – Fit Sessions Web-Series aims to spike the interest within our audience and inspire our viewers to go out and try something they never have before.
